Lorraine’s husband was our “bartender” after the ceremony, when we were told it was a female friend, and he made the experience awful. Again, she wouldn’t answer the phone! So my flower girl had no idea what to do and stood at the isle clueless when she got to the end and was very embarrassed. We had missed rehearsal the day before due to a long drive of the bridal party and her not accommodating us at all because it was the “holidays” and she was busy. When I finally arrived and stated that I had been calling her with no call back, I got “I was off, it was my birthday & I was busy” ! A few hours passed and she was setting up decorations as one of my girls told her how pretty is was and she stuck her nose in the air and said “yep” … and walked away. Mind you, I had called her for 7 days prior to tell her what time they were coming. She would not answer the phone for assistance to allow them in and then when they knocked on the dark room, after seeing Lorraine inside, she opened the door with a nasty attitude. Lorraine had said that we could come as early as we wanted just not 7am … My makeup artist showed up at 11 along with my girls. I had a hard time picking my makeup artist after one had backed out and was told that I could have bridal access to the suite early with an extra charge, in which we paid. We did not have any actual information on how it was going to go and I had no idea how to plan a wedding, I had never even been to one. Each time we came, it was an hour and a half drive for 20 minute meetings. We had signed an initial contract and we’re scheduled every few months to come back for visits with Lorraine. We are not wealthy by any means and my husband and I worked our asses off to pay for our whole wedding on our own, with no help whatsoever… with that being said, from day one we did not receive the proper treatment because we did not add all of the “extra things”. As I took the time to finish receiving awful complaints and small details pointed out to me that J did not even notice during my wedding, from my family and friends. In the sidebar you have all of your Inboxes for the various email services you link (Gmail, Hotmail, iCloud, Exchance etc.), but there’s also a universal inbox so you can see everything in one place. This is more a security feature from Apple rather than a limitation with Spark. To set this up in Spark you’ll need to generate an app specific password, and to do so you’ll require Two-Factor Authentication to be tuned on. It’s relatively easy to set up, although there are a few hoops to jump through when it comes to iCloud. Spark is a well regarded email app by Readdle, so much so that it’s been given an Editors’ Choice award by Apple on the Mac App Store. Good news: In macOS Ventura and iOS 16 it will be possible to unsend and schedule email in Apple Mail. It would be very easy to stick with Mail, but if your email struggles are becoming unbearable, or you think that you could use some additional features such as undo send or the ability to pin important mails, there are lots of other email clients worthy of consideration. MacOS Mail is a very decent email package that comes with lots of useful features, and thanks to its integration with macOS and iOS it works seamlessly across all your devices and all your other Apple apps. You can stop them from seeing when the email is opened, and hide your IP address, too. With macOS Monterey Apple added Mail Privacy Protection to help stop senders of emails gleaning anything about you from how you read and react to their mail. To open a new tab in Mail press Shift and choose File > New Viewer Tab. With the macOS Big Sur release, Apple added tabs to Mail, so you can have multiple inboxes open at once and switch between them just like tabs on Safari. ![]() Mail is also heavily integrated with macOS, so you can send replies from the Notification Centre, or send an email from within another app using the Share feature. We have perviously had a little trouble setting up Hotmail and though. Mail works with the various types of email accounts, including iCloud, Exchange and Gmail, and it’s easy to set up – just open Mail, choose Mail > Add Account from the menu bar and enter your email details. ![]() There’s no need to use a separate app like SendBigFile, Mail does it all for you with the Mail Drop feature. If you need to send a large attachment (or more) but don’t want to clog up your recipients inbox, Mail will automatically store the attachment in the cloud for them to download. Mail uses intelligent search to determine the most likely email you are looking for and also offers suggestions that might further narrow down your results. Use the Search field in the top right to find emails. In a similar fashion, you can select certain Mailboxes as Favourites, and then quickly access them from the Favourites section in the Mail sidebar. So that emails from people in your VIP list are diverted to a separate inbox (meaning you can ignore everything else). One feature of Mail that we love is the option to differentiate between VIP senders. This includes creating Smart Mailboxes (folders) with set rules that determine which emails are directed there. You can sort your email in various ways to make it easier to manage. There’s also that essential elements of modern digital communication – emoji. Mail also offers various handy features such as built-in Mark Up tools that you can use to illustrate and emphasise aspects of the attachments – and even add your signature. One of the key benefits is the simple fact that there is a matching app available for your iPhone and iPad – but there is so much more than the integration between the different devices that allows you to ‘Hand off’ an email from one device to another and carry on from where you left off. Like us you are probably using the Mail app that comes with your Mac. The ten options we’ve found are not in ranked order – we recommend all these email packages – but some will be suited to more specific needs, so we will leave it to you to evaluate which will suit you best. We’ll start by looking at Apple’s Mail, then we’ll evaluate some free email options, and we’ll also feature some paid services that are worthy of consideration. Slippy went to Titania's research base with the rest of the Star Fox team, save for Falco, who abruptly went AWOL. They then head to the Great Fox and fly of into the sunset. After Fox comes out they head to Corneria to be congratulated by General Pepper. At Andross's palace, he fights Andrew again, and protests against Fox going in but to no avail. On Venom he tries to stay clear of the temple where Golemech is, but goes in. At Area 6 he helps fend off some fighters and gives information on the Gorgon's weakness. He was congratulated by Peppy for his brilliance on being able to create the submarine for the occasion but also jokingly criticized for being useful for once, and Falco joined in by citing that he'd take the sky any day.Īt Bolse he informs Fox that the fighters are shielded and again fights Andrew of Star Wolf. Slippy eventually found the sweltering heat to be too much for him.įor the mission under the Aquas Ocean, Slippy gave Fox tips about the experimental Blue-Marine, and expressed disgust at the pollution. On Solar, Slippy proudly said the Arwings could take temperatures up to 9000 degrees, but that was not enough to keep the shields from dropping, as the heat coming from the surface was even higher. When the Star Fox Team aided the Cornerian Husky and Bulldog squadrons on Katina, Slippy expressed that because of the Invader IIs using camouflage paint to look like the Cornerian Fighters, it was hard to tell the good guys from the bad ones. On Macbeth, Fox used the Landmaster to closely follow the Forever Train, giving Slippy the opportunity to ask Fox how the Landmster was treating him. Slippy was very grateful to Fox rescuing him from the Goras that Andross augmented. Fox used the only prototype Landmaster as his vehicle of choice when searching for Slippy after he crash landed on Titania. Since Corneria's Defence Forces did not have a tank force of their own, Slippy and Beltino constructed a prototype Landmaster tank for whenever the situation called for ground based missions. As per Fox's request for information, ROB was able to detect a distress signal coming from Titania. ![]() Spyborg then managed to land a hit on Slippy's Arwing and send him flying off course. When Fox faced the malfunctioning Spyborg at the remains of the space base at Sector X, Slippy intentionally broke formation like he did on Corneria and ignored Peppy's demands as he attempted to take on the haywired robot by himself. When passing the waterfall beyond the seas behind Corneria City, Slippy was able to spot Granga's Mech before the All-Range arena.ĭuring dogfights between the rival Star Fox and Star Wolf teams on Fichina, Bolse and Venom, Slippy shared a rivalry with Andross's nephew Andrew Oikonny, although there was never been anything to suggest the two characters have a history, and there was little to no dialogue between them. When the first mission started on Corneria, Slippy's enthusiastic nature led to him breaking off and getting scolded by Peppy to get back in formation, only for a Granga Fighter to tail him. Slippy's inexperience and lack of talent while flying got him into trouble more often than any other team member, for which Falco taunted him mercilessly. ![]() His main role was to give information about the area (in a similar way that Peppy does) and to analyze the shield strength of bosses. Slippy played a major role in the Lylat Wars as a new (and barely experienced) pilot of the Arwing. He also appears as a background character in all Super Smash Bros. Slippy typically appears in all Star Fox games to date, as well as the comics and the "Star Fox Zero " promotional anime, as a supporting protagonist. Slippy's main role on the battlefield is providing a Shield Gauge to determinate the health of a boss, but only if he is present to do so. His inventions, from the Arwing, Landmaster and Blue-Marine to the Reflector and Blaster, have helped the Star Fox Team prevail over the enemy, making Slippy a major contribution to the Star Fox team's success. As a member of the Star Fox Team, Slippy has invented a wide variety of gadgets and vehicles. The excitable amphibian member of the Star Fox Team, Slippy may seem like a hyper-doofus and his inferior piloting skill leaves a lot to be desired, but he has excellent mechanical know-how as he specialized in engineering at the Cornerian Academy and learned a lot from his father, Beltino Toad, being the Director of Engineering at Space Dynamics Co. He serves as the inventor and mechanic of the team. Very large amethyst and regular quartz geodes Geodes are also abundant in the Mendip Hills in Somerset, England, where they are known locally as "potato stones". ![]() In Oregon they are referred to as thundereggs (which are normally completely filled solid) and are the Oregon State Rock. Geodes are common in some formations in the United States (mainly in Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, western Illinois, Kentucky, and Utah). Large, amethyst-lined geodes are a feature of the basalts of the Paraná and Etendeka traps found in Brazil, Uruguay and Namibia. Geodes are found where the geology is suitable with many of the commercially available ones coming from Brazil, Uruguay, Namibia, and Mexico. Samples of geodes with unusual colors or highly unlikely formations have usually been synthetically altered. Geodes and geode slices are sometimes dyed with artificial colors. However, geodes from a particular area are usually similar in appearance. There is no easy way of telling what the inside of a geode holds until it is cut open or broken apart. Still others can have agate, chalcedony, or jasper banding or crystals such as calcite, dolomite, celestite, etc. Most geodes contain clear quartz crystals, while others have purple amethyst crystals. Iron oxides will impart rust hues to siliceous solutions, such as the commonly observed iron-stained quartz. Geode banding and coloration is the result of variable impurities. When cut in half, visible bands corresponding to varied stages of precipitation may at times show patterns that reveal points of fluid entry into the cavity and/or varied colors corresponding to changes in chemistry. Bedrock containing geodes eventually weathers and decomposes, leaving them present at the surface if they are composed of resistant material such as quartz. ![]() Over time, this slow feed of mineral constituents from groundwater or hydrothermal solutions allows crystals to form inside the hollow chamber. After rock around the cavity hardens, dissolved silicates and/or carbonates are deposited on the inside surface. They can form in gas bubbles in igneous rocks, such as vesicles in basaltic lava or, as in the American Midwest, in rounded cavities in sedimentary formations. Geodes can form in any cavity, but the term is usually reserved for more or less rounded formations in igneous and sedimentary rocks. The crystals are formed by the filling of vesicles in volcanic and subvolcanic rocks by minerals deposited from hydrothermal fluids or by the dissolution of syn-genetic concretions and partial filling by the same or other minerals precipitated from water, groundwater, or hydrothermal fluids. Geodes are hollow, vaguely spherical rocks, in which masses of mineral matter (which may include crystals) are secluded. oʊ d/ from Ancient Greek γεώδης ( geṓdēs) 'earthlike') is a geological secondary formation within sedimentary and volcanic rocks. ![]() Quartz-filled geode, shown from inside (top) and outside (bottom)Ī geode ( / ˈ dʒ iː. ![]() Chuseok ( 추석 / 秋夕 Autumn Eve), Korean festival celebrated on the same day in the Chinese and other East Asian lunisolar calendars.Other regional names include "Eighth Month Festival" ( simplified Chinese: 八月节 traditional Chinese: 八月節 pinyin: Bāyuèjié Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Peh-goe̍h-cheh Nanjingese: ba 5 üe 5 zie 5) used in places such as the Northeast, Southern Fujian, and Jianghuai, "Festival of Unity" ( simplified Chinese: 团圆节 traditional Chinese: 團圓節 Wugniu: doe 2-yoe 2-ciq 7 Nanjingese: tuang 2 üän 2 zie 5) used in Shanghai and Nanjing, as well as "Mooncake Festival" ( simplified Chinese: 月饼节 traditional Chinese: 月餅節 Jyutping: jyut 6 beng 2 zit 3) in Guangzhou.
